Real estate is cyclical. Conditions of homes are cyclical. When the housing market tanked, nearly 90% of homes for sale were vacant. We had a hard time finding photos with furniture & ugly decorations. Then homes became neglected (weeds) and/or damaged (kitchens removed; houses trashed). Then the market started to recover and we noticed a lot of nice looking, clean homes. Finding ugly house photos was hard. Nowadays, we’re seeing a return of the truly neglected (probably because the inventory is so low and because prices have gone up that investors are buying the leftovers) and also an increase in clutter & hoarding.
So here is another example of neglect and vandalism. The home owner did not pay attention to the roof.

Head in the sand? Didn’t see it?

Broken window and more.

Kitchen nightmare.

It was made with love. And attention to detail. Hand-crafted cinder blocks. Velcro circles along the counter top edge hold imported silk fabric. Vinyl flooring on the wall for a dramatic effect.

Coffee is served to the public every morning 7am-9am. It’s heated up with propane. [I actually helped my buyer purchase this house; it was vacant by then; this is a giant vaulted room addition; my buyer is an artist and is using it as an art studio]

Good taste is not a guarantee.

Anger management issues.

Sanitary?
