Our reader Tyson stayed in this Detroit, Michigan condo via airbnb, despite it having knotted curtains. Pointless decoration. Why block the view of downtown? And it would take too long to unknot each panel. (sigh)

This is knot how you should treat window curtains in 2017.
We hope this stupid trend finally stops in 2017.

Please stop abusing innocent drapery material.

Thank you to our reader Jennifer for finding this very unique home for sale in Avon, Connecticut. There’s a lot to see and lots of photos to share. Enjoy.
The seller appears to have an artistic quality, with embellishments throughout the house. The stair balusters are covered in fabric.
The seller added goop to the staircase risers.
There are smears and goop all over the kitchen.
The kitchen, we think.
The breakfast room.
More goop in the parlor. Even the piano was painted.
Check out the ceiling.
At least the curtains aren’t knotted.
A closer look.
More goop on the door. There’s a lot of sanding required to remove the goop.
Another look at the staircase.
Let’s look at the bedroom now.
Gauze for alarm?
The window panes were painted.
The dining room.
Walls and ceilings were touched in every room.
Gauze and effect. How would you remove the gauze and goop from the walls?

First up: Anesthesia, which many mothers would prefer to take versus painful natural birth. Oops, Anesiya.
And her/his sister/brother Balekie?
And Alexan from La Jolla, California, who has won a medal for youngest child to use a computer.

The knotted curtain adds flair to this home.
Give me scissors right now. Problem solved.
If those are the shower curtains, can you imagine having to unknot them every day? Or tripping on it while using the sink?

When will people stop knotting their curtains?
Can we set up counseling for people compelled to knot their drapes?
Enact legislation to outlaw knotted curtains?
Boycott homes with knotted curtains?
I’d rather see pouf valances return than see knotted curtains.
At least these drapes weren’t knotted. Only tied with string and twisted.

Knotted curtains are still around, unfortunately.
The knots wrinkle the fabric permanently.
It’s not attractive.
If the fabric is too long, cut it.
This is what happens to your drapes after knotting them too much and too long!
This horrible trend has spread to Milwaukee, Illinois.

Ugh. Knotted curtains.
Here’s the view from the other side! Enjoy.
This house features double and triple knotting, just in case the drapes dare to come undone in a breeze.
Triple your viewing pleasure.
