John’s feet get so hot that he has to stick his feet out the window when he sleeps. His cat doesn’t seem to mind. The sheer curtains and the hats on the wall add some flair to the room.

Ten ball caps on the wall of a Mesa, Arizona bedroom.
Two sombreros on display in a cluttered Phoenix garage.

Someone won two big trophies. They weren’t for home staging.
Nooooo!! Knotted curtains!!! Nooooo!!
Four more trophies. TV’s on! Prescription bottles on display. More family photos.
Now we move over to the kitchen where we see two refrigerators. And more prescription bottles within reach of children.
There’s a kid looking in the window! A peeping tom! Maybe he can help tidy up this house.
No wonder this kitchen is cluttered; there’s only a few upper cabinets.
There’s a 2nd washing machine out on the cluttered back patio and two dryers.
There’s refrigerator #3. In the full sun. And a puppy in a cage. Oh, and at least 5 bicycles.
Five scrubby pads.
Pringles potato chips make for a great midnight snack. More prescription bottles with easy access. “Mommy, your Oxycontin pills are fun!”
I see baseball hats on the back of the door.
The hangers are every which way.

Monkey see, monkey don’t tidy up.
Ball caps and other clutter in another bedroom. The fan helps spread the stinky shoe smell around the room.
The towel blocks the view of the shower.
Cluttered kitchen counter.
Where’s the refrigerator?
Another cluttered bedroom.
Close-up view of this messy bedroom.
Oh, look. People available to clean up the house.
Guest house with clutter. No surprise.

One cat. Eighteen hats. Sigh.
“And this mess is so big
And so deep and so tall,
We cannot pick it up.
There is no way at all!”

Please join me in singing the 4th annual UglyHousePhotos version of the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Everybody join in now. A one, and a two, and a three.
On the Twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Twelve horses prancing,
Eleven trophies, winning!
Ten masks a raiding,
Nine records spinning,
Eight jugs of water,
Seven pigeons pooping,
Six knotted curtains,
Five woven hats…
Four Santa bears,
Three turtles, dog,
And a blue thing on a head board.

Too cool for school? Too skull for cool? Either way, let’s not lose our head over this cluttered bedroom. Just remove the hats, the ironing board, the bags, the boxes, and the other clutter.

There’s a ball cap on the dog statue. How jaunty he looks. If they removed the visual distractions, you’d notice the warm fireplace, the security system, and nice laminate flooring. What other things can we discover in this Apache Junction, Arizona home?
You can’t fool us by covering it up with towels. We can tell the cabinet doors are missing.
You can’t be too safe. A gun safe and a small safe. TV’s on!
Authority cat food bag in the bathroom. Unfolded worn-out towel.
Two cat litter boxes in the bathroom! Must smell heavenly.
Did you notice all the medicine bottles in the bathroom?
A third cat litter box in another bathroom! For that shower clean smell.
Well, hello there, Mr. Dog. Psst. Tell your owner to wash the glass door. She’s sitting right there. Thank you.
