This was a fun house to visit.  I heard it was a fixer-upper but had no idea the carport had fallen apart.

They might be better off tearing it down completely. The photo was taken around 6pm. The carport offers absolutely no shade during the hottest time of the day. Why bother?

Did a meteorite hit it?

How else do you describe this Knoxville, Tennessee home?  The main photo is a picture of remodeling supplies in front of the garage.  Too much effort to remove that stuff first?

They painted themselves into a corner in the basement!  Nice ceiling with ductwork and pipes hanging down.

San Diego garage where the owner supposedly built a bed for his kid.  You know, for a camping retreat escape effect.  Think it’s strong enough?  Scary.
But check out the dust protector on the computer monitor.  Remember when we used to have one for the keyboard too in the 1990s?  As if a grain of dust would ruin the computer.

The Academy Awards presented many Oscars last night.  Now it’s our turn.
In part 1 of our 1st annual real estate photo awards (the Uglies), we celebrate the minor category winners:

Best Set Designer:  The set designer is responsible for finding & placing all the items in the picture.  The Ugly goes to Rapid City, South Dakota for “Valley of the Dolls Part 2.”

Adding a dog (on the left) and finding the cancan dancer skirt/legs lamp was what sealed the win.

Best Art Direction:  The art director is responsible for supervising construction and painting of the sets.  The Ugly goes to Grand Island, Nebraska for “Finding Nemo Again.”

The same set designer created a tropical paradise in the next room of the same house.

Best Hair & Make-Up:  The Ugly goes to Peoria, Illinois for “The Lyin’, the Wig, & the Wardrobe.”

Best Short Film:  The Ugly goes to Raleigh, North Carolina for “Monster Garage - The Movie,” where they used a short film over the windows to seal in moisture, mildew, & mold.

Best Animation:  The Ugly goes to this toilet which is in a cat-egory all on its own.

Best Foreign Picture:  The Ugly goes to The Netherlands for “Onthaal Aan het Poppenhuis” (Dutch for “Welcome To the Dollhouse”).  The Heineken mini keg is a nice touch.
