Yes, the seller actually paid someone to paint the beehive fireplace in those colors. The blending of pastel green with pink is interesting to say the least.

It’s supposed to resemble something. Twig and berries, Austin Powers?

It’s almost like you’re actually at a Tuscan village.

We needed one more photo for the post. The bed’s made and the colors match, so what’s to whine about? The date stamp’s a little old for 2010; it might scare off buyers.

Five homes with faux paint.
Feather duster faux paint in the master bedroom.

Faux ocean water. Faux coral reef. Faux seagulls (or bats?).

Poor rolling technique.

Ridiculous in St. Charles, Illinois.

They faux’d the kitchen cabinets in Bangor, Maine.

They must have the world’s worst soap and no towels. How else do you explain the pink handprints on the bathroom wall?

What a depressing back of the house. Wires and pipes going all over like spaghetti. No patio cover to block out the hot Arizona sun.

They added a patio cover to the side of the house. However, notice that the wood posts are placed directly in dirt and connect directly to the house. This is like putting out the red carpet for termites. Earth-to-wood contact is what termite inspectors call this.

A Piglet mural plus outdated parquet flooring in the bedroom. Oh, Pooh. We were hoping the inside was better than the outside.

Jack-o-lantern sitting on a bed. Parrots painted on the wall. The result? It took 8 months to sell this house, finally in late June.

Another home needing staging advice and assistance.
Christmas decorations (lights, candy canes) still up in May. Half dirt, half grass lawn. Weight bench in the front yard.

Christmas tree is up. Lots of family photos. Cutesy sayings (”I Love You 2 Gore”??) (”Love Always & Forever”). If they cleared everything out but the furniture, this would be a very nice room (nice floor, nice paint, nice size).

In case they get lost, the signage tells them the next room is the family room. [Editor: I blocked out their name.]

Very dark family room.

They painted the walls with black paint.

When buyers see the clothes rack, they will assume the closets are too small. Cluttered dresser doesn’t help.

There’s a big tree in the child’s room.

One of those glass vessel sinks. But you can see all the plumbing underneath.

They enclosed the patio so that they could fill it with clutter.

More junk from another angle.

It kinda looks like pink Venetian plaster in the bathroom. But what’s that pink mess in the shower? And dirty too.
