Fishing pole next to a fish tank. That’s reel-y funny.

It’s a step up. Dirty steps too.
Ready to pounce on buyers as soon as they enter the house!
“Mommy, he won’t share the couch!” [Also, notice the bare foot on the right side of the photo.]
“Hot dogs for lunch?! Don’t you dare get any ideas!”

Dog on the loose. Huge dog house. Ladder on the ground. Abandoned car. Jugs of paint. And more.

The body parts keep piling up in real estate promotional photos.
An arm here. [In this Thanksgiving themed photo, it could have been a turkey leg; instead we’ve got a turkey’s arm.]
An arm there. [The curtains are terrific.]
Another one here. [Plus a dog.]
And yet another arm here. [Nice purse rack.]
And now buttocks! [The lady apologized for being behind in her housework.]
Double the fun.

Let’s start with the positives about this Evansville, Indiana home: it has wainscoting. And at least they didn’t do one more twist to knot the curtains. And for that, we thank you. Now about the fan, the dog, the cords on the floor, the cord on the ceiling with foil (!!), that damaged wall, the dream catcher, and the dirt.

Most dogs are not included in the sale of the house. So why take and include a photo of them?
This dog gets its own bedroom!
“If I sit still like the elephant, no one will notice me.”
“Stop drilling me to get up!”
“Remind me to return the power drill to the neighbor.”
If the dog won’t leave, then have the photographer move the camera to the right.
Being too cute is no excuse for being in a real estate photo.

The body language (arms crossed) tells us this seller is not lifting another finger to tidy up the house. How nice. [Thank you, Elsbeth, for sending us this photo.]
Proud lady is wearing pearls, while her devoted dog waits patiently for a pat on the head.
Her husband sits quietly in the next room. There’s another dog.
She’s waiting for the photographer to leave so she can use the toilet!!
Hopefully he’s a landscape architect with plans to spruce up the curb appeal.
Future real estate agent. He’s pointing out the features of this Seaford, Delaware home.

August 26th is National Dog Day.
It is the dog days of August.
How much is that doggie in the window?
I was on a Realtor home tour this summer. As we approached the next home, there was a pit bull a few houses away, chained outside, in the 100+ degree heat, barking. Many agents thought it was cruel for the dog to be chained outside in the heat; many others were turned off by the dog (buyers would have to drive past it every day).

Four family rooms for your consideration.
What would you remove in this family room to look less busy?
After the family photos are removed and the curtain unknotted, what else should be done here?
This one’s too easy: the gun safe, the miniature popcorn machine, the jacket, the dog, the tie-dye towel, the cuckoo clock, etc.
The vines, the clothes, the macramé. Anything else?
