February is a big month for the Nielsen ratings. People are filling out their log books all month. And leaving their TVs on all day long.
It will ruin the ratings if they turn off the TV.
But there are no ratings for video games.
Why would they install a huge TV to the side? Won’t their necks be sore?

Most buyers nowadays would prefer a home that’s neat and tidy, not cluttered. Just saying.
It’s okay to pack it all away before selling. You’d have to pack it anyway when the house sells. Why not do it now and sell it faster and for more money?
Don’t let buyers get distracted by all of your stuff instead of focusing on the features of the house.
Ask a friend for advice on what to remove and tidy up if you are not sure. Another suggestion: take photos of your rooms and then look at them. You’ll see things differently.

Thank you to our reader CG who waited patiently for two weeks until we posted these photos of an Evansville, Indiana home.
They say you should replace your mattress every eight years.
The cabinet on the left has been rotting for years. Check out the bathroom floor!
Is that gray tub filled with water?! Nice mold and mildew. And people live with that?
Curl up by the stain and enjoy a romantic fire.
By the way, this is a short sale.
Custom window treatments.
Thank you, CG, for sharing this amazing home with us.

These photos were sent to us from a fan. Perhaps he was nostalgic for the good ol’ days. Not necessarily ugly by this blog’s standards, but let’s say charming, like Grandma’s house. From Grove City, Pennsylvania.
Quaint kitchen. How many delicious meals were made here? From scratch, no less.
Who wouldn’t want to stay here when visiting Grandma?

Merry Christ Mas, everyone!
Santa Claus made it down the chimney safely. However, he spilled milk on the carpet. Bad Santa.

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer would do anything to fly with Santa Claus. Anything. Bart the reindeer mysteriously disappeared. Hmmm. “Rudolph, have you seen Bart?” “Bart who?” Poor Bart.

Mark his words, someday white socks and sandals will be trendy.
We are treated to another photo of him. Poor guy has to stare at the wall all day.
Put the camera down and tidy up the kitchen.
Take a step back and go get a mop please.
Please get out of the way.
We see you!

Here we have a messy house. Either two things happened: the seller is a messy person and doesn’t care how the house looks when selling or the renters moved out with their stuff left behind and the seller didn’t bother to clear it out before selling.
Now this mess becomes the buyer’s problem.
Hold on, maybe this was an estate sale. The owner died or went to a nursing home? Then it becomes the family’s burden to remove the stuff before selling.
The buyer discounts her/his offer to reflect the cost of trash removal.
The seller or seller’s family then gets less money on the sale.
Imagine how big this room would look once empty.
Room used as a pantry.
More fun for the buyer.
