Entertainment centers were very popular before televisions got bigger and thinner. Let’s take a look at some recent examples. They were perfect for your small TV and VCR.
This one’s not very deep, so it was perfect when the first flat-screen TVs came out (the small ones). It can’t handle the typical 32″ TV nowadays.
That 40″ TV won’t fit in the old entertainment center.
Talk about old school. That’s a reel-to-reel player.
It was popular in the Phoenix area to have these built-in media niches, especially ones that were two feet deep to accommodate those monstrous projection TVs. Now they are functionally obsolete and collect dust.
