He was texting while driving, saw the school bus, swerved, and crashed.

Peoria, Arizona short sale.
Staging assistance needed, please.
Another guy’s computer desk with bottle of lotion and toilet paper handy.
Quick. Buy some closet doors and throw everything inside before buyers arrive.
At least she covered up the face on the Justin Bieber poster.
This bedroom is half tidy.
Why did they remove the rug? Buyers might have thought that was the normal color of the carpet.
The pink fabric vertical blinds complement the wallpaper border.
The wallpaper border in the kitchen is birdhouses but they look like outhouses. Did you see the neon green plastic pumpkin too?
Before dining room, with furniture.
After dining room. Maybe they’d better bring back the furniture to cover up the walls.
The master bedroom. Complete with princess blanket used as a curtain.
This is a house with young children and yet the floor fan does not have a protective grille.
What happened to the flooring?
Looking the opposite direction shows more of the flooring problem.
It could have looked worse.
They gave up on the paint.
This photo was taken many months before Halloween.
The patio is surprisingly clear of clutter. Now to work on the peeling paint.

It’s hard to keep a house clean with kids around. Take this Burien, Washington home for example.
That poor, overwhelmed mother.
Thank you to our reader Alanna for sending us these photos.
We could blame it on the kids, but mom’s room is just as messy. Maybe this isn’t a good time to list the house.

What happened here?!?
And in the kitchen too!
Side door for a quick escape from the mess.
An old trampoline. Weeds. Peeling paint. Junk.
The storage shed is a bonus feature.

…of people in real estate promotional photos, that is.
Our policy has been to block out people’s faces in our posts. You know, to protect the innocent (and guilty). We are grateful that the person in this real estate photo was already blocked out when we first saw it. Hmm. They took the time and trouble to cross out the face, but didn’t take the time to retake the picture without the person in it. We’re diggin’ the pink flamingos picture.
“Let’s slip in here for a quick make-out session.”
“I can’t explain the dirt stains in the carpet, the garbage bag, the ugly couch, or why the TV is on.”
“Do you think the scarecrow looks good over here?”
“I can’t find my house on-line yet. When are you posting the photos?”
“I thought you were babysitting?” “Shhh. I’m playing Candy Crush Saga.”

Moose stuffed animal, Rottweiler dog stuffed animal, and a brass deer. Plus a bottle of motor oil and lots of other stuff.
To the left and stepping back, we see more stuff.
And then the kitchen. Ugh.

These five family rooms need staging help quick.
Rent-a-Center repossessed the TV. Now she can’t hide the pile of dust on the TV stand. She hasn’t hid the ashtray full of cigarette butts either. [Minot, North Dakota]
The bottle of bleach is not needed in this Olean, New York family room. Just some boxes and a few hands.
Disheveled in Sun City West, Arizona. Two old TVs. They still work, I’d bet.
Blocking the window won’t stop buyers from seeing the mess. [Phoenix]
Little Jimmy is proud of his hoard of toys. See his head in the foreground? See the dust on the ceiling fan blades?

Lots of random items, dirty carpet, and loose cabinet knob in a Frenchtown, New Jersey family room. Could have been a really cozy looking fireplace setting with proper home staging. Missed opportunity.
Another hidden fireplace due to visual distractions. [Phoenix]
And another Phoenix family room that does not highlight the fireplace.
Lots of baseball caps and other junk in a Tempe, Arizona family room.
A little bit of everything in this Sun City, Arizona family room.

Make it stop. Black Canyon City, Arizona home. With the saying, “Live by the sun, Love by the moon.” How about making the bed properly and staging the bedroom first?
Make it stop. Gilbert, Arizona home. With the saying, “Family - a journey to forever.”
