When selling your house, you want to highlight the features of your home.  In this case, it would have been better to not include this photo on the Internet.  There are too many toys and clutter in this room.  The wall paint should be neutralized.  And a glass globe for the ceiling fan costs only $5 at Home Depot.

…you need to rake up the leaves.  Would it take 5 minutes for the seller to rake up the leaves before having the picture taken?  This patio would look so much better tidied up.

Wow!  The seller sure smoked a lot of cigarettes to stain the walls this badly!  Why would you paint a room to look like the house is falling apart?  The seller needs to repaint the room in a neutral color to appeal to buyers.  The flooring, baseboards, & updated ceiling fan look great.

Why do enclosed patios usually end up looking terrible?  The roof is slanted, with no space above to add A/C venting, so you’re forced to add an ugly wall A/C unit.  But since the roof is not insulated, the room gets too hot anyway (that’s why the seller put towels & sheets on the furniture; to soak up the sweat).  Is this room a family room or an exercise room?  There is an entertainment center but the TV is placed on top of it?  The blue carpet?  What if the clay pots on the wall fall down on someone’s head?

Why, oh why do sellers allow photos taken out front with cars in the driveway and yard?  How hard is it to move the cars/trucks for 5 minutes while the listing agent takes a picture?  Cars/trucks parked on the lawn do not make a favorable impression to buyers.

This is the family room of a golf fanatic.  Golf photos & golf club are on the wall.  However, this room is below par.  The dark green wall paint should be neutralized, the wood paneling removed, the dark green carpet replaced, and the outdated furniture removed or covered.

This downtown Phoenix high-rise condo looks like a dorm room.  The dark red walls, the electronic equipment, the mismatch of decor, etc. are not likely to appeal to the typical buyer.  And I keep thinking I see a confederate flag on the wall (but it’s actually a flag from Scotland, thanks to one of our readers).
