Here’s a Phoenix home completely covered in flagstone. Whaddya think?

Here’s what that front entrance looks like from the other side.

And they covered the rest of the house’s exterior with stone which is now falling off.

Good grief.

Wow that shower curtain is bright. And it clashes with the ugly orange Cheetos wallpaper (which by the way screams “model home!!”).

Looks like a fun room for a kid, but what happens when they move? That’s a lot of paint and wood to remove. Let’s hope the neighbor five feet away doesn’t like to stare into the bedroom window. Might wanna ask about that before you buy the house.

Either there’s a giant deer that just pooped in the bedroom or this is a lame excuse for home staging with pillows.

Amateurs. They painted the closet doors while the doors were installed. Note the lack of a second coat at the bottom of the door and note the magenta paint on the carpet. Nice. And why is there pink paint in the closet corner?

In the next bedroom, they’re featuring Dora the Explorer. There must be a reason for painting a blue rectangle on the door. Dirty carpet too.

Today is spring cleaning day, and we’re clearing out some of the photos we’ve had for months and months. We start today’s collection with three Grandma homes.
1) Gotta love that handmade wall hanging! Matching bedspread and drapes.

2) Old furniture.

3) Wow, that looks really old. The house was built in 1952.

The things people add to their homes. Sigh.
1) Folding doors leading to a bedroom. Missing light switch cover.

2) Mirror tiles with gold flakes.

3) Indestructible ceiling fan. Angry home owner tried to pull it down when his house was foreclosed.

Three different kitchens.
1) Blue walls and yellow cabinets.

2) Sunflower decals brighten up the kitchen. Cluttered counters.

3) Collection of snowshoes on the walls? Underneath the fake plants and other clutter, this is a very nice kitchen.

Three different homes with different styles of walls.
1) Fancy wood paneling pattern.

2) Brick wall with a repeating pattern means faux brick. Brick paneling plus blue carpet = late 1970s?

3) Drywall damage from vandalism (either the previous foreclosed owners or hoodlums).

Three different homes with three different approaches to real estate photos. These impress buyers how?
1) Corroded door handle, chipped door trim, and a cheap lockbox.

2) Close-up photo of a water spigot. And yes, it’s spelled spigot, not spicket. The photo’s caption read, “Plumbing.” Really?

3) By taking the photo at night, buyers won’t notice the abundance of leaves and the lack of grass.

You’re gonna love these four homes with their ugly checkerboard tile patterns.
House #1: They weren’t satisfied with checkerboard on the floor. They went up the wall and then added micro-checkerboard to the backsplash. The walls and cabinets are ugly too.

House #2: The checkerboard tile stops at the living room’s edge. Then they faux painted the wall to resemble flagstone. [eyes rolling]

House #3: They couldn’t find more black and white tiles so they improvised. This impresses buyers? They also bought a new oven (left side) and kept the original late-1950s oven.

House #4: A Boston home with checkerboard on the kitchen walls.
