It’s hard to see the kitchen through all that clutter. Canned goods, stuff on the counters, refrigerator magnets, papers and junk on the kitchen island, stuff on the chairs, aprons hanging up, stuff on top of the cabinet. Who wants a toilet right next to the kitchen?

Someone created a waterfall with river rocks. And then ruined it by painting it gray. Now it’s just a pile of ugly.

It’s nice to see so much holiday cheer in one house. Except when you are selling. At least tone it down?

Looks like a nice house under all that holiday stuff.

Bonus points for keeping it clean.

Hang in there, Santa.

This Apache Junction, Arizona seller sure loves his Pepsi (check out the hoard on the kitchen counter), but he secretly drinks Coke (see the Coke can on the table?). Busted! He’s waiting for the home stager to arrive?

The office is a fright. Holy knick-knacks.

Totally embracing the Southwest theme design in the living room.

Fireplaces come in all shapes and sizes and designs.
Large: This fireplace was supposedly designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built by his students. The house is located in Carefree, Arizona and built in 1957. Not sure when the fireplace was built.

Medium: From a 1953 Phoenix home.

Small: From a Mesa, Arizona home. Really? Why bother?

Tiny: From a house in Queen Creek, Arizona. Do they use toothpicks as logs?

A house is a house. Walls, doors, windows, and a roof. What more do we expect? Maybe some personality and curb appeal? This boxy home is from San Tan Valley, Arizona (on the far outskirts of the Phoenix metro area). Yes, that is the front door on the right.

This is the back of the house. Sure are small windows. And one tiny door to go out back.

Here’s a home that probably needs to be bulldozed. It had extensive roof damage which destroyed the home.
This is the master bedroom ceiling. Rust, mold, water damage.

More of the master bedroom ceiling.

The master bathroom with ugly wallpaper.

Another bedroom with mold & mildew. And ugly orange carpet.

This is the bedroom’s ceiling. What happened up there? Was it a flat roof that filled with water and collapsed?

The living room with old dirty ugly red carpet.

The living room ceiling.

The front entry. Is this house worth saving?

People and their clever ideas. Too bad they don’t stop to consider reality. For example, this Glendale, Arizona owner added nice looking barn doors to his kitchen. So far, so good.

But…the doors are for the refrigerator and the pantry. So EVERY TIME you want something from the refrigerator, you have to open the barn door plus the frig’s door. How many days would it take for that to get old? You’d end up leaving the barn door open all the time.

In Phoenix, the city picks up bulk trash once every three months. For some reason, the seller decided to include his neighbor’s trash in the photo, rather than waiting a week until it was picked up.

Why not move to the right and eliminate the neighbor’s trash from the photo? Doesn’t the house look much better now?

This room’s been ridden hard and put away wet. What happened here? Looks like they patched the holes with cardboard and putty. Flooring’s bad too.
