2012 is almost here. It’s a clean start. Clutter free on January 1st. So let’s clear off the shelves please.

No, really. Please clear off the shelves.

You don’t have to prove you own a lot of stuff.

When selling, just add a few items to the shelves. Pack up the rest. This is a good example.

Did an elephant walk in the attic?

Ceiling repair fail.

Not good.

Damaged garage ceiling. Thanks, sellers, for leaving all these repairs for the buyers.

This photo’s caption reads, “stain from broken whirlybird.” (they mean the spinning attic vent). So if it’s broken, why not fix it??!!!

Drum set right in the middle of the living room in a Millville, New Jersey home.

No more underexposed dark photos please.

The sellers included this photo, a big improvement over the first one. So why include the first one???!

Please take real estate photos during the day. Night photos look dumb.

Please do not change the exposure or color of the real estate photo. Or add clouds. Buyers can spot a fake in an instant. Orange grass??!!

More orange grass at another home. Are they spraying the dead grass with orange paint?

Please be mindful of mirrors. Buyers want to see the house, not the photographer.

Yes, your reflection on glass is a reflection of your photography skills (or lack of).

Please put away the fish eye lens. Buyers do not like distorted photos.

This is the dining room. Worn-out, soiled carpet. Boxes and junk piled around. First impressions?

In the living room, chairs crammed into any available space. The front door is blocked.

Sports themed house in Phoenix. Chicago Cubs fan.

And a Playboy bunny to boot.

These Peoria, Arizona folks are UCLA Bruins and Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

And Miami Dolphins fans too.

Another Miami Dolphins fan in Watertown, New York.

Now if we could only get them to be Packers before selling their homes.

They glued rocks to the wall. A few have fallen down. Their dogs must live in fear, scared to death that a rock will fall down on top of them as they use the doggy door.

Two layers of shower curtains help keep out light in bathrooms.

Buyers like dark bathrooms. And bleach stained towels.

Here’s a good example. Why leave the shower curtain fully stretched?

It looks better with the curtain pushed back. And it doesn’t matter then what the pattern is.

We’re not thrilled about the frills on this shower curtain. A bathtub cozy??!

I don’t understand the need for a shower curtain on the outside of shower doors.

Hello, Gorgeous. Some like it haute. Dressed to thrill.
