Fox TV is showing a live performance of the Grease musical tonight. We thought you’d like to see the set for the kitchen scene.

Our reader Kerri spotted this real estate photo in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Did they just finish going to the bathroom or are they about to start? Which answer is it? #1 or #2?

Texaco motor oil lubricates perfectly. Mopar – you’re with us or behind us. [Insert joke here with those two slogans]
Toyota – let’s go places. In bed.

Lawnmower + tall grass = the sellers would rather swing instead.

Eventually the baseboards will rot away until they are completely gone.
They’re almost gone.
The sellers are out selecting new faucets right now.
They want buyers to see that there is copper plumbing.
The bathroom has a window.
More rotten baseboards in the hallway.
And in this corner.
Assuming a child wrote that note and that he/she lives here, would that exposed hole and switch be safe for a child (or an adult)?
They used a shoelace to keep the oven door up.
Another view of the carport. By the way, this was a short sale.

Most buyers nowadays would prefer a home that’s neat and tidy, not cluttered. Just saying.
It’s okay to pack it all away before selling. You’d have to pack it anyway when the house sells. Why not do it now and sell it faster and for more money?
Don’t let buyers get distracted by all of your stuff instead of focusing on the features of the house.
Ask a friend for advice on what to remove and tidy up if you are not sure. Another suggestion: take photos of your rooms and then look at them. You’ll see things differently.

Here’s a pseudo-beehive fireplace. That’s wallpaper, not faux painting; the pattern repeats.
Two fireplaces in this house. Check out the free-standing metal one on the left.
Yesterday we featured entertainment/media niches. Today we have a fireplace plus a media niche. Double the fun!
You can see the electric outlets in the cubby holes. The fireplace is probably fake. If not, would you want the fire’s heat rising up on the TV?

It was a Phoenix thing to build entertainment/media niches so you could surround your TVs with collectibles and audio equipment. Sometimes they are used as storage for supplies.
People don’t know what to do with them.
They were originally designed for those massive thick rear-projection TV sets. Now what do you do with that big open space?
These sellers gave up and did nothing.
This seller was determined to fill every nook and cranny.
These media niches are great for collecting dust.

Thank you to our reader CG who waited patiently for two weeks until we posted these photos of an Evansville, Indiana home.
They say you should replace your mattress every eight years.
The cabinet on the left has been rotting for years. Check out the bathroom floor!
Is that gray tub filled with water?! Nice mold and mildew. And people live with that?
Curl up by the stain and enjoy a romantic fire.
By the way, this is a short sale.
Custom window treatments.
Thank you, CG, for sharing this amazing home with us.
