    That first one would probably look really nice if they got rid of that wallpaper. Those colors are really stylish right now.

    But it’s definitely hard to see it for the wallpaper.

    My mother had a couch covered with that exact same fabric of the bedroom curtains in the 70s.

    Aabra, I can assure you the photo is real and recent (from 2009). I have James Lileks’ book so know what you mean.

    Yeah–that kitchen is AWESOME!!! Why is this site called “uglyhousephotos”??? This stuff looks SO MUCH BETTER THAN NEW HOUSES, which are cheaply made and POORLY DESIGNED. 70s homes are very much so collectible now.
