Interesting Home Presentation In Houston, Texas

November 8th, 2009 · 7 Comments

Home staging takes on a whole new meaning in Houston, Texas as you’ll see.  But first, check out the hand-laid stone floor in the kitchen.  I’ll bet it’s a real joy to sweep the floor. [correction: a reader’s sharp eyes spotted a pattern to the flooring and thinks it’s rolled vinyl.  Indeed, it appears so.  Thus, the flooring is flat.]

In the kitchen shot, the flooring is really just run-of-the-mill lino. I recently saw the same product in a couple of local listings here in Nova Scotia – once as kitchen flooring, and once stuck on the wall as a tub surround…ugly lino no matter how it’s used, though…

This kitchen floor does a great job of camouflaging dirt and dust. Doesn’t work so good on cans, paper cups or food packages, though.

How hard can it be to just sweep the floor and close the cupboard doors before taking the picture?

Now that’s just sheer laziness. Why couldn’t the photographer have shut the cabinets, removed the fast food containers from the floor, and maybe if he or she was feeling really ambitious, cleared the clutter off the beds and made them, or at least covered the creepy looking mattress? Wonder what happened that these people just gave up? At some point they cared enough to hang some pictures, mirrors, the Guadalupes, semi-nice curtains…
