Dirty Carpet Is a Turn-Off To Buyers

90% of the foreclosure properties in Phoenix have dirty carpet, it seems.  A huge turn-off to buyers.  In their minds, it’s an instant $3,000 expense.  Here are three examples.

Living room of a Phoenix home.  Totally disgusting.

The soiled carpet matches the ugly wallpaper.

Once the foreclosure notice comes, people suddenly get this goofy urge to disassemble a truck engine ON the carpet. Darnedest thing.

They should just pull up the carpet and pad and leave the subfloor exposed like that previous house we saw. Any potential buyers know they have to put down new flooring anyway and that way they won’t see the filth.
