Wallpaper Is a Pain To Remove

December 4th, 2009 · 5 Comments

Buyers groan when they see wallpaper.  It’s a pain in the neck to remove it.  Time consuming.

Stains on the wall from oily hair.  Yuk.

Sellers should strongly consider removing wallpaper before selling their homes.

IMO the only good thing about wallpaper was the fun I had picking at it when I was a kid!

Wood flooring with mirrored walls? They must have used this space as an aerobics classroom. That stain on the wall is sweat.

Wallpaper does suck. In my case, I was able to look past it, but it did almost put me off. The best way to remove it is a 50/50 solution of vinegar and hot water (after running that paper tiger over it) . Or fabric softener and water. Your house will smell like a salad, but there are no chemicals and it’s cheap.
