Interior Decorator’s House

One of those shabby chic homes where everything is over the top.  This is the dining room being used as a lounge.  The walls look dirty.

Master bedroom.  Good grief!

Hall bathroom with “exposed brick” paint design.  Not sure how many walls in the world were ever made with vertical bricks.

Fake tree in the hallway.

The living room.  It’s just like being in Paris.  In 1720.

I have to give points for it being clean, but yeah, a little over the top. Actually, this one might make me curious and want to see whole thing.

There’s a house under all that stuff?

You don’t indicate whether this house is for sale or if these are just photos showing this persons taste. If these are the sales pictures, it is clearly over the top and needs to be neutralized. However, if not, it is clearly just a representation of this person’s taste. Maybe she wants her house to look like Paris, 1720. Maybe it makes her feel really good. In that case, nothing wrong with that.

Yes, this house is for sale. No, we don’t rent rooms by the hour.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. C’est affreux.

Didn’t like the Headboard or vertical bricks. Wish the chairs and table in ‘eating area’ weren’t both patterns. One should be solid.

    Rest is doable for me……

Being that they’re selling it they should have painted it all white. On the other hand that is really is alot of beautiful faux paint and tromp l’oeil which is very expensive to have done. It’s not my taste but all put together it is very nice.

Patty, this house was for sale and actually sold recently. We don’t highlight homes on this blog unless they are up for sale. Personal tastes are private until made public when selling.

Leif, thanks for clearing that up. I guess the buyer really liked the house…

So…a hoarder is just a shabby chic out of control?

I’ll bet it smells like old people….

The bricks in the hallway are not vertical. The picture is sideways. See the streaks coming off the bricks? I think that’s supposed to be moss growing - turn it 1/4 to the right and it makes more sense.

Carol, the brick photo is sideways. That’s how the seller presented the photo to the public.

Yah, that might be how they showed the photo but I think Carol is right. Pic was accidentally shown sideways.

I actually LOVE that leopard chaise lounge–I’d beg the seller to include it with the property :-)

The exposed ‘brick’ reminds me of homes in Europe post WWII! Plaster falling off and leaving the building bricks and the exterior grout showing.

    That bedroom is pure Vegas!
