One of our readers spotted this house in Port Arthur, Texas.  The décor is unchanged since 1971.  Complete with shiny flower wallpaper and a fancy chandelier.

Avocado green oven!  Classic.

Jesus. As horrendous as it is, hat’s off to the shape they’ve kept it in.

I had the exact same coloured stove in my apartment, complete with a matching stove hood and fridge. It even had the same fading around the middles like that stove…

The landlord really liked green. Green countertop, green appliances, bright horribly sculpted green carpet…

I actually like the oven, but I’m a retro fan and it’s kind of nice to see something besides white or stainless steel.

That chandelier would be “gold” to a lot of DIY home designers.

Paint it red or Pantone’s color of the year, turquoise and someone could probably unload it for $300.

I really dig this place. It’s like a little piece of history.

I LOVE it! I really do. It reminds me of the houses I grew up in! Kudos for the folks that preserved it so well.
