We had saloon doors like those between the living room and our galley kitchen in the rambler I grew up in during the 70s. My little kid self thought they were really super cool. : D

Love the pull out burners on that old wall oven though.

Things seem out of kilter in this condo. Not too bad, but enough to bug me. The pullout burners will jut into the doorway. And the bath cabinets are not centered. I’m not OCD, really!

I wish there were more pictures of that kitchen. That Frigidaire Flair is beyond awseome. The bathroom, not so much.

Reminds me of the episode of Keeping Up Apperances where the Buckets live in the country estate.

we had the saloon doors and that was in 79 through 84. I loved them as a little kid

I had a double version of that Flair range in our 1962 home. I loved it so much! I used it from 85 to 91 and it worked perfectly. My parents bought the house from it and sold it in 2005 and the Flair was still going strong. It’s been sold twice since then, most recently to someone my husband knows, and the Flair is still going strong! The pull out burners had a special safety feature: if a burner was accidentally left on, it automatically shut off when pulled back in. Also, one element was super fast, would boil veggies in 5 minutes! If they start making them again like the way they started making retro Moffatt double ranges, I would buy one!

This yellow kitchen is charming,really..sort of,It’s the saloon swinging doors that put it over the top.
