I hate wallpaper but I do like the peak inside some older homes in Buffalo.
Look at that woodwork!!

Other than the wallpaper the first house looks like it would be a wonderful old home. Love the woodwork.

That Buffalo room with the wood trim would look really nice with a neutral colored wall and natural wood trim and floors- I saw a very similar room on HGTV like that and it turned out beautiful, a craftsman dining room.

In that first one, I’m assuming there’s wood underneath that wallpaper. W/o the wallpaper, that room is actually rather interesting. Tho the floor looks trashed.

1st photo…if you get rid of the hideous wallpaper (and the butt ugly curtains) that room will be awesome. Lots of great woodwork.

That top room is AWESOME, except for the wallpaper.
Kind of looks like the gawdy stuff they did in saloons in the old West.

Betcha there was a wood burning stove in the tiled area in that kitchen.
It’s a miracle more houses didn’t burn down back in the “old days”.

I think they were trying for a period look in the first photo. In the olden days patterned wall coverings were admired. I don’t think it is too bad. I’d like to see a close-up of the paper.
