Life Is Just a Chair of Bowlies is a book written by Mary Engelbreit. It’s supposed to lift your spirits. I kept thinking, “What’s a bowlie?!” then realized it’s a play on words: bowl of cherries, chair of bowlies. Amazon has 120 of these books for sale for one penny to $2.
The seller put the book’s title on the backs of her chairs to match the sunflowers and wallpaper.
The range hood says “Home is where the heart is.” Do you like the wallpaper?

Have it written into the contract that the seller takes every personalized item with her. The time to remove the wallpaper is well worth it. This is a kitchen with real potential.

Did they put cabinets across a window? That weird little rectangle of light between the range hood and the fridge is bothering me.
Maybe the owner scrawled on the hood to distract buyers.

Adriene, builders added tiny windows like that to some kitchens to bring in more light.

Perfect example of “TOO MUCH!”. WHEW! This seller needs to start packing… YESTERDAY! I can honestly say that these kind of photos are extremely helpful to the sellers that are coming onto the market. The ones where everyone just makes fun of the downtrodden are just sad and heartbreaking. This is what I’d expect the site to be about. THX!

OK, it is a bit cluttered. It is not the wallpaper I would choose myself. However the kitchen is clean and welcoming, even charming. It would not put me off the house at all. Likely the entire house has received lots of TLC.

Thank heavens they didn’t install cabinets over a window.
I’ve never seen a tiny window like that. If you ever spot an exterior photo of one, I’d love to see how it looks from the outside.

The sunflower on the kettle is cute. And the whole kitchen just shines it is so clean. I would say a realtor has little to complain of here. As long as the kitchen is clean and orderly buyers will probably be able to see past the bric-a-brac and the “chair of bowlies”.
