Methinks the nearby tree roots are buckling the patio of this Gilbert, Arizona home.

Not looking good from the other side either. What happens when the roots go under the house?

I had a buyer walk away from a home that had invasive tree root problems. The owners had planted a tree in their 4′x8′ atrium (in the middle of the house). The 20 foot tall tree was too big for the atrium. A structural engineer told my client to cancel the deal.

The price of shade in the desert. My entire town is like this. The builder planted Mulberrys in most yards. This was done in 1958, so you know what kind of roots there are now. But it is really pretty in the summer with all these huge green trees!
