You don’t have to prove you own a lot of stuff.
When selling, just add a few items to the shelves. Pack up the rest. This is a good example.

Oh dear! Open shelves is a OCD’s nightmare — especially in Arizona where you can dust one minute and in the very next moment there is a fine layer of dust again. I don’t have an open shelf anywhere in my house.

I agree with AZ!!! We are having doors with glass put on every shelf we have. And since I am a bibliophile, we have a lot of them.
