    If this had been done in a regular checkerboard it would not look so awful !

    Most people would say, “It’s different, and therefore, bad!” but I actually like the pattern, it’s an interesting pattern for otherwise drab rooms. Still though, if I was buying this house, the first thing I would do is install carpet! Tile is so cold, and hard on the feet. Also, I’d strip that stupid paint off the cabinets and restore the wood!
