High Class Faux Paint?

March 22nd, 2012 · 4 Comments

These three home owners paid considerable money to have faux paint treatments done.  Was it worth it?  Will others (buyers) appreciate it?

An explosion?

They tried to match the chair fabric color.  Does it make you nauseous?  Not quite an appropriate color for a dining room.

Heavy smokers?

The first one is ghastly. It looks like it is on fire NOW. What were they thinking??

Maybe they are being creative in covering up a mold issue. Seriously, you would never know, in that first one.

#3 looks like the ultimate in water stains or the horror movie set from the Exorcist

Laura, if that’s a mold-coverup on the first one, it looks like it was so bad it broke through 8-0….looks like mold, anyway. The second one is beyond my comprehension with that bile-yellow color. That is the most “puke-trid” color on the face of the planet. Seriously, what PLEASANT thing is that color? With the exception of spring buds on trees (insert sappy, sparkly, feel-good xylophone and harp, fairies skipping-through-the -spring-forest music here..lol), that color can only invoke thoughts of …well..you fill in the blank with a list of unpleasant substances that are that color….eeeeewwww. AND with the equally unpleasant, nausea-inducing shade of brown-yellow curtains? Shudder…The third one wouldn’t be terribly bad if they hadn’t done the CEILING, too!! That looks ridiculous.
