Scottsdale, Arizona Isn’t Always Paradise

Scottsdale, Arizona is one of the more expensive cities in Arizona.  Higher home values, higher incomes, golf courses, resorts, high-end shopping, etc.

And then there’s this poor house.  Neglected over the decades.

You are obviously not old enough to remember when Scottsdale was a cow town, most residents were working stiffs and it was just another suburb of Phoenix. The average house was a tract house. My, have times changed!

Picky, I moved to Scottsdale in 1967 & lived there for 24 years. Most of the older homes were kept immaculately by the residents.

Yeah, they were and with pride. But they, like me, are getting old now. Scottsdale, as a high dollar town, is relatively recent. And sadly, most of the residents who had pride in their (working class) homes are gone, too.
