Puzzling Wall

April 26th, 2012 · 7 Comments

We were all saddened by the death of The Painter of Light, Thomas Kinkade.  These Sun City, Arizona home sellers were big fans.  They put together puzzles of Kinkade paintings and attached them to the wall.

A quilt or a plate collection with a design like that is one thing, but a wall mural? Really?

They should have been mounted and placed in poster frames, then stored in a closet. This is really a bit much.

I agree with Joe. They should be stored in the closet, along with the Keanes. (In case you forgot, Keane’s paintings were popular in the 50’s and 60’s…)

Maria, funny you wrote about Keane. I actually have a slew of Ozz Franca big-eyed kids/dog pictures in my 1960s retro bathroom.

At least it hides most of the hideous, painted exposed brick :-P

Not only Kinkade but also looks like Wysocki peeking from the edge of the photo. Two very talented painters.

Awww how quaint. My puzzles end up in the box when I’m done putting them together.
