This is disgusting, and going on all around the country. What’s amazing is that no one seems to notice any of this happening. Unfortunately, it’s only going to get worse as more homes are lost to foreclosure.

Joe, we’ve seen a sharp decline in this form of vandalism in the Phoenix area in the past 1-2 years. 2008 & 2009 were horrible. Really dirty homes too. I wore special shoes (my “foreclosure” shoes) when showing bank-owned homes to clients. Nowadays, I’d say 95% of the bank-owned homes are cleaned inside and out (no knee-high weeds); some are even painted and have new carpet. Big change here.
