Very rustic fireplace. The photo’s caption reads, “old barn wood.” So they surrounded a fireplace with wood. Hmmm. Let’s hope it sparks more interest than a house fire.

Does the thick layer of dust retard the fire or does it make it burn faster? Hmmmm, guess I’ll ask my firefighter husband.

Looks like a layer of ash on everything, not dust. That means a wood burning fireplace with a downdraft problem. Obviously, they weren’t thinking, at all!!!

The waterstains on the wood are a nice touch. Probably from the fire hose last time they lit a fire.
