Even if all the possessions were moved out, this would still be a mess. I personally love my wallpaper. That said, if I were trying to sell, it is the first thing I would get rid of. Think maybe that should be done here, too.

This looks like it should be in a float for the Macy’s Parade.

That is a memory quilt made out of old t-shirts in the first picture. I read about how to make them years ago, but didn’t realize until I googled just now that a lot of people have gone into business making them. You send your old t-shirts in, and they make a quilt for you.
    Here is an example:
    http://www.tquilts.com/why-a-t-quilt/

The t-shirts that make up this quilt seem to have a sports theme-maybe the owner of the t-shirts played baseball, or was/is a big fan. Is that a red baseball bat on the couch? I’m guessing all the stuffies on the couch also hold memories. It is possible that the owner of the t-shirts has passed away, and one of his loved ones made the quilt because they couldn’t bear to throw out the old shirts that held so many memories. Or the quilt may have been a gift for the t-shirt owner.

Even though it is very busy looking, I don’t find it offensive. To me it doesn’t give the impression of dirt or chaos, which is seen in many of the pictures posted here.

Admittedly it would have been better to pack all the memories up before putting the house on the market.

    1.) Too much clutter.
    2.) Too much visual clutter.
    3.) Just too much. Period.

Add a patterned carpet and it could be my in-laws’ house, provided the prominent colours were brown, green and pink.
