Did they film Sanford & Sons TV show here? These are photos from 2012.

When the house was purchased in June 2006, the yard was empty.

She paid $161,000 for this house.

Big yard. Perfect for hoarding.

Wow. That’s a lot of stuff.

The house was going to foreclosure auction in late June 2012, but someone bought it as a short sale in May 2012 for $25,000.

Another bedroom.

The kitchen.

The dining area.

The living room.

Fill ‘er up.

Sad.

The cost of cleaning this up and getting rid of the junk is going to triple that 25thousand really fast. Then the buyer still has to fix the interior. What a sad way to live.

and this is after they cleaned out all the ‘good stuff’ before moving out….
If only they had spent some of their money on the house payments, instead of all the junk…..
Check out the fence spikes in photo #2 & #5. Usually you point them outwards to keep out the ‘barbarians’. Who where they trying to keep in….

Ugh! This brings back unpleasant memories of the foreclosure we had next door to us. Except, she wasn’t a hoarder. She decided to be spiteful towards the mortgage company for having the nerve to throw her out, so……..she got her pickup truck and made the rounds on trash days and proceeded to turn the inside and outside of her house into the town dump. Believe it or not, she even expected the mortage company to return to her the 11 payments she had made during the entire 7 years she lived there (yes, she really knew how to work the system).

When you said Sanford and Sons, I immediately heard the theme song music in my head. Or maybe it was Walk of the Elephants…whatever.
@Sam - The answer to your question is…”the barbarians.”

What the HELL makes people believe it is acceptable to “live” in a pit like this like there’s not a problem? Clean the dang place up, already!!! (and BEFORE you try to sell the place!!))) GEEZ!! >

Actually, it doesn’t look like trash–not much of it does, anyway. Thru donations (assuming you pay a fair amount of taxes already), eBay, and Craigslist, you could pull down a good $10k out of this property.
