Another Water Heater In a Bathroom

June 19th, 2012 · 7 Comments

A week ago, we featured a Vicksburg, Mississippi bathroom with a water heater right next to the bathtub.  Now we found another one in a Wickenburg, Arizona bathroom.  It looks ugly.  Why not enclose it or cover it up?

Was it properly installed?  Exposed wiring.  Tubes held to the wall with wire.  No  pressure relief valve and/or The pressure relief valve pipe should not go up; it should point downward for proper escape.

People thought we were nuts, but I really like having the water heater outside. It is cleaner, I feel safe and it doesn’t heat up my home. Just have to keep the building clean and keep it sheltered. And no more destroyed furnishings if it leaks or pops the pressure relief valve.

Is that what happened to the rest of the bathroom? A leaky waterheater?

The person installing it probably wanted to hurry up and get out of there.

The center pipe is the pressure valve. it has a yellow tag on it and copper drain line!

Really? Did you look at that room?

Do you think they give a sh*t how it looks?

    Too funny………

It really is ugly. I prefer having the water heater installed outside. Not only it saves you from getting electric shocks but also keep your bathroom cool. Beside this you also get some extra space.

Why not put it in the basement?
