The pink bricks and the purple kitchen bother me more than the plates.

@Murphy- I was just going to comment on the pink and purple walls! hahaha.
I must add though, at least all the rooms seem to be clean and taken care of.

@Murphy - Lets not forget that Pepto-Pink hall wall, either.
Leif, is the wall in the last picture multi-colored or is that some kind of shadow? That looks really different.

Shadow. Could be several photos stitched together for one panoramic shot too.

I’d hate to fall down the stairs in photo #1, if you grabbed at the wall to stop your fall you could land up in a pile of broken plates at the bottom of the stairs.

I’m just happy to see rooms that are clean , organized and clutter free. Maybe people who collect plates tend to take good care of their homes.

Actually, it divides the smoking and non-smoking sections of the house

It reminds me of my elderly Mom’s home, with all the plates and such. I agree that generation/type of collector seemed to take good care of things, despite THAT color pink (that was her bathroom color…popular hue in the 1960’s?).

These photo look a lot better than most of the dirty homes shown here.
Looks like old peoples homes.
Pink purple, walls can be easily painted a different colour. At least they are clean.

Nancy, that color is Mamie pink, popular because the president’s wife loved it.

Thanks, Mimi! Knowledge like that is very useful for those of us restoring homes (which is how I discovered this blog).

Freaky…another Mimi beat me to it. It was 1950s, not 60s, BTW.
