Floor Tile Options

August 17th, 2012 · 10 Comments

A woman in real estate whom I greatly admire told me, “You always have options.  You might not like them, but you have options.”

Here are some floor tile options that you might like or not.

Better than throwing them into the landfill?

Diamonds and stars in the entry.  Slippery when wet.

The reaction is black and white: you’ll either love it or dislike it.  From a Chula Vista, California home.

The first one looks a preschool art project.
    The second one is OK.
I like black and white checkerboard in a small retro kitchen set diagonally, not like that!

The first one looks like they bought all the left over tiles on clearance.

The second one I am not a fan of but it isn’t horrible.

The third, I like the black and white floor but NOT with the green backsplash tile and those cabinets.

The first photo is from bill’s house. He found out if he stole one different tile every week he could the whole room in a year for free….

I also think the 2nd one is okay. I don’t care for the others though.

The second one says “a quilter lives here”.

I might consider the third kitchen just for the appliances and bring a wrecking crew for the tile . I think the land fill might be a better option for some of these tiles. I’m a quilter but this patchwork mess is ugly.

I don’t dislike the tile pattern in the second picture but it seems too bold for such a small area. Maybe if it was used in a very big foyer it would work better.

    Stuck-On-Stupid-Style-Tile…for the geometrically challenged.

Second one is loud but matches the color scheme of the walls and wood. You could always throw a rug over it.

    Money doesn’t buy taste. Pity.
