Moving out? Moving in? Just a pack-rat? This is when a storage unit would be really handy.

I feel for the person. If you don’t start packing some things ahead of time, you’d never be able to move out in time. You want to be prepared, not leave everything to the last minute. As for storage lockers, I would tell everyone to stay away from them after the storage facility I used to have a unit in burned to the ground as a result of arson and everyone lost everything. Who wants their precious photos etc in an unsafe location? The ones that do not burn get robbed and vandalized. The best place for boxes would be a garage or a storage shed in one’s own yard, a part of the basement or a storage room.

@Greeny-do storage facilities offer insurance? I imagine if they do, it is expensive …

I have insurance for my storage space contents through my home insurance. It’s much less expensive than the insurance offered by the facility itself.
