This is too bizarre. At first I thought it was a hiding place for cats. Then I read the photo’s caption: Tree House Kid Bed. Uh, will that contraption hold the weight of a child? What’s holding it up?! Is that a drawbridge door on the left?

Another view. Truly weird. Are those plastic curtains? How hot does that space get?

Other than defeating the purpose of a real bed, which is closer to the floor, how exactly does a 3 or 4 year old get up in the middle of the night, in the dark, during a thunderstorm, to go to mommy’s room?

That is cool! I would have liked to have something like that when I was a kid, but as an adult, I think it looks dangerous.
I don’t know if it should be used as a bed, but it would be cool to play in.

Makes a terrible bed, but I see DIY projects like this all day long on Pintrest.. so apparently people are making them!

I think they should let the cats have it…

If your little “princess” doesn’t end up with a fractured vertebrae from her under-engineered bed collapsing under her, she can get a traumatic brain injury from sticking her head out the window and into the whirling blades of the ceiling fan.

Looks very ugly and very dangerous, even for cats!
