It’s a balcony built inside the house! Table & chairs. Fake plants. Fake windows.

Pan to the left and there’s another balcony! When you’re in the mood, open the door, walk onto the balcony, strum the guitar, and serenade the lady standing in the bottom left corner of the photo (yes, that’s a head of hair).

Here’s an overview of the room.

How very strange! This poor room can’t make up its mind whether it is inside or outside, much less its function. The architect needs to be thumped!!

Maybe they went to Mimi’s cafe one too many times.

^^Jayne, I was thinking the same thing. This room reminds me of Mimi’s Cafe. I’ve also seen similar decor at the Top Shelf restaurant in Peoria.

Mimi’s is what I was thinking too. Pretty wacky looking.

How would you clean up there?

Leaf blower would work.

Are they accessible balconies? Do they actually sit up there? Or are they just decorative? Looks like a theater set. The owner must have wanted to take advantage of his vaulted ceiling.

Contractor:Ya’ know the Neilson job, we have 3 doors left over.
Architect: You know, we should save the planet and not let the stuff go to waste.
Contractor: So can you mark in a few extra doors in the plans?
Architect: Sure can do. How many do you want? (We can charge $$$$ for change order too)
Contractor: We have 3 doors, but 2 are interior ones. Aslo, we have 120 lf of railing left from the Smith job. How much do you think we can charge?
Architect: I have an idea….
