Faces In Real Estate

August 31st, 2013 · 3 Comments

When inanimate objects are given human characteristics, we call it anthropomorphism.  Here are 3 examples in real estate photos.

This Mesa, Arizona home’s exterior is made of stucco, which is falling apart.  It created a toothless old man smiling face at the bottom of the photo.  See it?

The crease in the bedspread is the smiling mouth and the pillows are the eyes in this Sun City, Arizona bedroom.

The windows resemble eyes looking to its right.  The garage door can be the mouth.  [Peoria, Arizona]

I anthropomorphisize EVERYTHING, and when I drive through neighborhoods full of those houses like the one in the Peoria photo, I feel like I’m in a Disney movie full of creepy, suspicious talking houses!
