Pool Party

With all the freezing weather around the country, no one’s thinking about swimming.  These four sellers weren’t thinking about their pools either.

Swimming pool at an Amsterdam, The Netherlands home.  Note that the plastic liner has come off the right side.

A pool takes a good deal of work to maintain and money. A pool pump can pull as much electric as an A/C unit. We didn’t want a pool as we aren’t much into swimming. I didn’t even consider houses that had more swimming pool than backyard yard when we were house hunting. We have 1/4 acre lot with no pool and I’m happy with that. Our real estate agent suggested that there was plenty of room to install a pool if we wanted. We didn’t want a pool, I’m sure Leif must have had buyers that didn’t want a pool, are we so weird?

Lol - Jayne is right, many people don’t. Always buy a larger pump and filter than required and you will save a lot of heartache! I have filled in a pool rather than pay repair cost, lol

I believe thats just the cover which came off

In the second picture, the door opening looks to be about one foot from the edge of the pool. Incredibly unsafe whether the pool had water in it or not. How was the pool allowed to be built in that location?!

Not only would a pool be very time-consuming to maintain, there would also be the problem of neighbors pestering you to use your pool all the time.
