Oil-stained driveway.

In case buyers didn’t notice the big stain, the seller provided a second photo showing more stains.

Buyers have to walk past the oil stain to get to the front door.  Would it make sense to remove the stain before selling the house?

This photo tells buyers that the sellers have too much stuff in their garage, causing them to park outside.  And it tells them the sellers don’t take care of their cars.  Do they take care of their house the same way?

First impressions at the curb.  Not a good start.

I actually had a real estate agent leave my driveway looking like that because she had an oil leak in her excessively ginormous pure white Denali SUV. When I asked her to look into cleaning it up, she told me I should “Check with the office.”

NOTE: This is something Leif would never do.

This house could be situated in Belgium:)

“When I asked her to look into cleaning it up, she told me I should ‘Check with the office.’”

Steve, my response would have been, “No need for that. I’ve already figured out on my own that you’re low rent AND brain-dead. Make that check for $300 out to….”

However, don’t fret about the missed opportunity. Given the evidence left on your driveway, it’s entirely possible that you’ll run across her broken-down Denali in the near future, and then you, too, can say, “Check with the office” when she requests your assistance.

For #1 and #2 there is actually a THIRD photo of the oil-stained driveway. But considering who the seller is, clean up is not likely a concern.
