This San Diego, California home is only 978 square feet.  It sold recently for $655,000!  In this condition.  Thank you to our reader Michael for sending these photos.

What do we know about suggesting home staging and de-cluttering?  The house still sold despite this.

Imagine how much the house will sell for once renovated.  Would it get $1,000 per square foot?

We still recommend clearing off the clutter before selling.

Looks like it might have a basement apartment.  Must be a real treat when it rains.

Paintball stains on the garage?  It’s almost art.  Looks like flowers.

we sold a little shack in SD and moved out in ’89. RE is crazy there. People live like rats and pay a lot of money to do it. The location of this dump must be really great. The weather is terrific but it has gotten to be a pretty ratty big city for residents. Great place to visit though.

    $655,00 for that?!

Maybe, as happens in Denver, the buyer just wanted the lot, so the condition of the house didn’t matter.

Maybe new owners are going to rip it down and build ugly condo-minimums.

Oh wait! Better yet, they’re going to do a few upgrades like some low budget tile and paint everything brown and flip it for 1 million.
