Before & After Home Staging Examples

I listed a condo that was currently rented. Photos mean a lot to buyers. It’s important to leave a good first impression. My first impression of this condo was not good. I immediately got to work, moving and removing items before taking photos.

Before Kitchen. Looks cluttered. And the tenant had recently cooked sausage, leaving a greasy fry pan.

After Kitchen. I cleared the refrigerator and removed the knives, soap, cutting board, measuring cups, utensils, spatula, fry pan, towel, and iPad. You will notice that the microwave clock times do not make sense. After removing the items and moving on to the next room, I realized it would be nice to share before & after photos. I painstakingly replaced all items that were moved (so the tenant wouldn’t know). And then took the photo. Thus, the Before photo is actually the After After photo.

After Living Room. I removed the tray, the plate, the glass, the dog bed, family photos, the dog, paper towels eaten by the dog, and glass cleaner.

After Office. I removed the bicycle, golf club bag, and inflatable swan.

Oh, I love boxers. I would have bought it with the paper towel eating boxer, especially if the inflatable swan were included.

Your staged pictures really let the property shine. Do you use a DSLR with a wide angle lens when photographing your properties, or a phone/point and shoot?

You did a nice job! Looks much more appealing to see the rooms without all the clutter.

Time well spent! Shows what a difference can be made with no major expense. Love the way the second after photo shows off that stunning ceiling.
