Walk-In Tub

September 9th, 2017 · No Comments

Walk-in tubs are advertised with the elderly in mind. Easy to enter and exit. Safer. But what about the reality of using one? You can’t fill the tub until the door is closed and you can’t open the door when the tub is filling or filled. Therefore, you must enter the tub when it is empty. Do you disrobe before entering or after? Then you are left naked (and possibly cold) while the tub fills up. By then, you’re probably bored. After bathing, you must wait naked while the tub drains. Shiver, shiver.

In this bathroom, where do you put your clothes or robe or the towel? No towel bars or hooks nearby.

The seat/bench has a scoop in it so you can use the hand-held shower to clean your undercarriage while sitting.
