Valley of the Dolls

Too many dolls is just plain creepy.  And throw in pale green sponge paint and fake plants.  They overpower the room.  Buyers won’t even notice the fireplace.  All they will talk about is the creepy doll house.

See the Mrs. Beasley doll from the 1966-1971 TV show “Family Affair” (blue dress, left side of photo above)?  As an added bonus today, here are some “Family Affair”-inspired bedrooms designed in 1970 for House Beautiful Magazine.  First one was for Buffy or any girl.

Another bedroom for Buffy.

Here’s a bedroom for Jody, “where a boy can be a boy.”

I love these interiors that were inspired by Buffy and Jody. I loved them very much. I am a vegan and that means I don’t eat meat or dairy. So I have to have something to love. I love Buffy and Jody, as well as Josie And The Pussycats and Sabrina And The Groovy Ghoulies. I wish I could meet a man. I am nearly 53 and I have yet to be “touched.”

The second Buffy room pic was the same room as Buffy room 1, but from the opposite angle, and with another Mrs. Beasley. I would have loved to have a room like that when I was that age.
