Some interesting items found in three Lansing, Michigan homes.
A business phone in the bedroom. For taking conference calls in bed? Taking business orders for shoes?

A medical office scale in the bedroom. For taking your weight before bed and in the morning? And everyone keeps their golf clubs in the bedroom, you know.

Is keeping a lasso or lariat in a child’s room such a good idea? “I’ll just pull that string off the wall and play with it.” Yeehaw, indeed.

People and their faux painted walls (the aged adobe look and the fake exposed brick). It’s very polarizing, which isn’t good for buyers. Half will like it, half will hate it.

They probably paid someone $5,000 to do this room.

Looks like a nice kitchen with nice counters and newer appliances. But what’s with the distracting pot rack, the distracting hanging basket, all the clutter on the counters, and the dirty cabinet doors? Give us three boxes, some 409 cleaner, and 5 minutes, and we’ll transform this kitchen into a winner.

This house is so depressing. Here we have two dilapidated storage sheds out back.

This is the second bedroom. Wall A/C unit with duct tape and cardboard. Security bars on the window are not to keep people out; they’re to keep people from jumping out the window.

This is a bonus room. Bonus for what? Bonus depression? There’s certainly no bonus windows or bonus ventilation.

This is the den. Can you imagine curling up with a good book here or just curling up in a fetal position and crying?

Messy bedroom in Mesa, Arizona. Roller skates under the bed.

Organized chaos on the right side of the room. Better to pack most of it away first.

What were they thinking when they built this entertainment/media niche around the fireplace?

In this home, they built a media niche around a flat panel TV, but the rest of it will just collect dust.

Very basic strips of wood placed in a lattice formation around the front porch. A first glance I thought it was cheap, but on further looks it seems to have an interesting mid-century modern feel. I kinda like it.

Where is HGTV when you need them? This room needs a makeover. Damaged wood floors, a towel over the window, old chandelier, bad paint, and a huge drywall patch job.

One distracting item can ruin a real estate photo. Buyers’ eyes focus on the wrong thing.
Diver down!

Someone’s purse!

Any idea what those four things are? Plaster gnome heads? Lion heads in Christmas trees?

FlexFit baseball cap.
