Hoarders House

Completely messy hoarder’s home.  The pictures are amazing.

Did you find these photos just a bit too clean for a hoarder’s house?  It’s because they are not real.  Artist Carrie Becker created these models at 1/16th scale!!  She was inspired by the hoarding TV shows.  Very, very creative.  Awesome job!

I noticed the repeat of the post it note board before I read it was fake. However, I did think it was real. The water in toilet and tub was really gross. Good Job!

    Wow…this is amazing !!!!

The Gucci, Tiffany, and Chanel shopping bags threw for a loop at first, but I truly thought this was a hoarders “home”.

    Genius creativity.

    So clever!!

I always watch the hoarders shows and they make me very agitated. I caught up the dishes during the commercial breaks this last week!

I have an acquaintance whose mother’s home is almost like these fakes (not quite so bad, but certainly problematic, although she denies it.). However, when the mother goes to her daughter’s home to visit, she spends the entire time cleaning, picking up, organizing and being a bit irritated over how cluttered things are.

As clever as these re-creations are, they are depressing too!

On her etsy shop, the descriptions say “miniature photo series”. She is only selling prints. Does that mean these photos are just photo-shopped? I would be more impressed if there were actual miniature models and not just manipulated photos. If they photos are not real miniatures, I see no reason to use the word “miniature”.

Annie, yes, she is only selling photographs of the models. The photos aren’t photo-shopped or manipulated; they are actual photos of the actual models.

The brown water in the toilet and tub are a “nice” touch :-). Pretty cool, though. Always liked miniatures. Great job with detail. I was sucked in for a minute :-).
