The first thing I noticed in picture #3 was the angry anthropormorphic fireplace from hell.

The carpets are green and the rooms are clean. So why do they still look ugly?

I’ve always wanted an in-door putt putt course.

Maria, maybe everything looks ugly because it is so old and tired. Drapes, light fixtures, walls: everything looks old.

I hate green.

You know, I think I could work with this. Hipster retro ironic kitsch.

The first photo, I love. I can see some retro furniture in yellow and orange polka dots, white go-go boots and the Dave Clark Five appearing on Shindig on a console Dumont TV!

Photo #1: This carpet looks like it’s never been walked on…as if the occupants levitated throughout the space.
Photo #2: Unpainted fireplace and unpainted woodwoork = WIN!

There’s a crop circle in photo #2, did they host alien guests?

The people living there must love to play golf . . .

In the 1977 house, are those built in cabinets real wood or painted MDF? I normally love dark wood, but I really hate those built ins. They look so tacky, they can’t be wood. Everything was ugly and tacky in the 70s. The crystal chandelier is a classic, though. It’s timeless. But the ugly furniture and carpet obscure its beauty. The lighter green, clean carpet in the first pic is fine, as far as carpets go. Light colors are ok for carpets, such as grassy green, baby blue, cream. But dark colors like brown, rust, orange, gold, hunter green, avocado green are dreadful. The only dark color I like is royal blue. But in general, I don’t like carpets at all.

Also in the 1977 house, the right corner shows a glimpse of the ugliest linoleum ever made! Typical orange and brown medallion pattern.
