Eh — you might be missing something here. Lots of people grew up in houses that looked like this; it is probably not totally unappealing, real-estate-wise. If you had a happy childhood you’d probably lean towards homes that gave off a whiff of your own youth to raise your own kids in…

I like a lot of this stuff-maybe not all together.

The other day I was shopping at Furniture Affair( a local furniture store that sells furniture from model homes) and there was a orange sofa just like the orange you would see so much in the 70’s. It must appeal to somebody still.

The TV and stereo in the first picture must be more than 50 years old. I wonder if they still work.

I’d like to go thru these homes and pick the individual retro items I like. Those big old lamps sell very well.

LOVE the pale green sofa. Great bones. The wood and style matches the bedroom furniture in my guest house. (Which was my grandmother’s way back from the 1940’s)

Choice of decor aside, what a world of wonders a tidy, barely cluttered space makes to the way you feel about a home! I’d happily take any of those, knowing the furniture would all be taken away with the old owners!

I also like a lot of the furnishings. That green sofa is a knockout. Frankly, if it is clean and relatively tidy, I will like it. I’m not so much into style. Furniture and flooring can be replaced.

Arizona must be the state where all the old ladies reside to after they retire. They obviously are pretty busy to not give their home more recent furniture and chairs that aren’t made from crushed velvet fabric. Hmm…

I’m feeling warm and fuzzy right now.

Absolutely adore many of the objects in picture 2, but especially that green couch! Not too fond of any of the others though.
